‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is cheating on Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), and all signs point to them having a relationship and leaving Chance in the dust.
We’ve even speculated that it’s unavoidable and that something like this was bound to happen from the minute Devon was a donor for them to make Dominic. While it may have taken some time, where are the fans now and what do they think? According to a new poll published in Soap Opera Digest, the majority of fans are opposed to Devon and Abby getting together and starting a relationship. When asked ‘Should Y&R pursue a Devon/Abby romance?’, a stunning 60% replied no, while 40% said yes.

That is a significant difference, and it makes us wonder what people would prefer to see instead. Would they rather Abby return to Chance or be single and not allow her love affair bloom into something else? So, if they don’t want Abby and Devon to be a thing, should Chance just take Abby back and try to work around this new problem, or should everyone just concentrate on themselves and be single for a while?
If I had to write it, I would make everyone take a step back and examine themselves to see why they put themselves in that scenario, and I would not enter any new relationships. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ jumped to an early wedding following a divorce, and the ink wasn’t even dry on the papers, and it wasn’t a disaster. They need to take some time, be alone, and figure out what they really want. I have to state that I’m not a fan of Devon and Abby’s relationship. I believe it would be pathetic and forced, and I do not believe they should build a new connection through an affair.
