‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ star Ashley Darby has slammed suggestions that she is a colourist following her feud with Candiace Dillard.

Colourist is the idea that someone deliberately discriminates against people on the basis of their skin. That is an accusation not to be taken lightly, which is why the tensions began to boil over. During the course of the episode, Ashley and Candiace were arguing.
Darby alleged that Candiace’s husband, Chris Bassett, had been sending flirty messages to other women. Not only that, but he had also allegedly been flirty with one of her friends. In response, Candiace claimed that Ashley’s husband, Michael, would have sex with another woman.
With that being said, the fans on social media were outraged with Darby, as they suggested that she was a colourist. One person wrote: “@_AshleyDarby isn’t colorist the same way racists aren’t racist. Your beef with your skin twins end. Your beef with the dark skinned women go on forever.”
While another person stated: “Ashley Darby is a colourist because she didn’t give Wendy the same opportunity for friendship she did for the bandits even when they had issues.”
That naturally did not sit very well with Ashley, and she wanted to let everybody know in no uncertain terms that nothing could have been further from the truth. In response, she made it clear that her treatment towards people was not on the basis of their skin but rather their conduct.
Secondly, her views were an honest assessment about how she felt towards her co-star. In a statement in response, Ashley remarked: “I always start at a hundred with people until you give me a reason to take it down.
“I still care about the women on this show and I hope that everyone — including them — knows that nothing that I will ever feel about you is because of your color of your skin.”
