Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Human Rights Award For Tackling ‘Structural Racism’ Badly Ridiculed-‘Actions Speak Louder Than Words,’ Says Sarah Vine

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award has been called into question.

Harry And Meghan’s Human Rights Award For Tackling ‘Structural Racism’ Ridiculed-‘Actions Speak Louder Than Words,’ Says Sarah Vine

The couple will appear at a gala celebration in New York on Tuesday, 6th December 2022 in order to receive the accolade. The organisation’s president, Kerry Kennedy recognised their courage to ‘change the narrative on social justice.’

This was in relation to the couple speaking out against what was deemed to be ‘structural racism’ within the Royal Family. While that may be the case, the Sussexes do appear out of place when we look at others who will be recognised.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is also expected to be honoured in some way. In addition, former basketball player and civil rights activist Bill Russell has also been included.

With that being said, Harry and Meghan’s award has to be scrutinised. First of all, they did not call out the person by name when they made their accusations that someone in the firm had reservations over Archie’s skin colour in the Oprah Winfrey interview.

Secondly, Meghan repeated the trick when she accused someone in the British media of using the N-word against her son in the infamous interview with ‘The Cut.’ And once again, the failure to name the person led to questions over the credibility of the claims.

Commentator Sarah Vine had this to say: “Nor have the Sussexes ever provided any concrete evidence. Indeed, scratch the surface and all the data points to the exact opposite of what they say being true – especially if you subscribe to the notion that actions speak louder than words.”

The social media response was much the same. A significant proportion of people felt this was another PR stunt by the Sussexes designed to improve their reputation. One person wrote: Those two wannebe’s deserve nothing!!!!”

It is fair to say that the Sussexes will have to do more to win over public opinion. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
