Gene Simmons Reacts To His Daughter Sophie Simmons’ Upcoming Wedding-‘I’m Not Ready’
The pair announced their engagement in the most novel of ways. It turns out that Sophie had informed her father that she wanted a family photo. And as Gene agreed, the next thing he saw was James dropping down on one knee. The rest was history, as the wedding is expected to take place in February next year.
While that may be the case, Gene did recognise that it was a shock for him given how quickly his daughter had grown up. In his comments, he said: “I’m not ready. One second she’s just a pair of cheeks with little legs walking around. Next second, she’s a grown woman. I’m not ready. But it’s happening.”
Despite that trepidation, Gene had nothing but praise for James. He expanded on how they had already gotten to know each other quite well, with claims they had been living together for around 8 years. That is enough time to get to know someone, which is why Gene has warned James that his daughter did call the shots.
But since he would know that, Gene has given his seal of approval. His following comments confirmed as much: “She’s getting married and he’s a great guy. She’s going to make an honest man out of him.
“He doesn’t know what he’s in for because Sophie wears the pants there. He’ll find out, yeah.” The fans on social media wished the couple the best moving forward. And as a result, many fans came out in droves with some very warm words.
One person wrote: “Congratulations Miss Sophie! I wish you and James nothing but a lifetime of happiness together!” It is great to see the couple in a really good place, and hopefully moving forward, things continue to stay that way. Time will tell how it all plays out.
