In a tweet after their meeting this week, Donald Trump reportedly expressed concern for Kanye West, characterizing the musician as ‘troubled.’
Donald Trump Brands Kanye West ‘ Seriously Troubled’ After Meeting Him
According to reports, West, who is currently seeking the position of president of the United States in 2024, wanted Trump to serve as his running mate. Therefore, he recently travelled to Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Florida to request this.
West, 40, apparently tried to persuade Trump, 76, to be his running mate, but Trump apparently rejected the offer and even suggested that West step down from the campaign.
Even some Republicans have allegedly bashed West’s decision to bring far-right commentator Nick Fuentes along with him to their meeting. When looking back at the meeting, this is what Trump had to say: “So I help a seriously troubled man.
“He shows up with 3 people, two of which I didn’t know, the other a political person who I haven’t seen in years. I told him don’t run for office, a total waste of time, can’t win. Fake News went CRAZY.”
Nevertheless, there was an element of backlash to this meeting. This was in response to Kanye’s recent anti-Semitism saga in which he vowed to go ‘def con 3’ on Jewish people.
And given that West saw huge backlash in the form of major brands such Balenciaga and J P Morgan distancing themselves from him, this did not come across well for Trump. And yet, Kanye had a more positive view of the meeting.
In response, Ye remarked: “When Trump started basically screaming at me at the table telling me I was gonna lose, I mean, has that ever worked for anyone in history? I’m like, hold on Trump, you’re talking to Ye.”
If Kanye does end up making a run in 2024, one thing for sure is that there will be plenty of fireworks. And that is something that will keep people tuned in. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
