Al Roker, the star of the Today show, has been grateful for being able to spend Thanksgiving at home.

Al Roker Leaves Hospital To Celebrate Thanksgiving-‘So Much To Be Thankful For’

The 68-year-old weatherman had been in hospital, which is why he missed Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. But for all the disappointment that may have come his way, Roker was able to leave the hospital in time to get back home and have a great time with his family.

In a post to his fans on Instagram, Roker shared a video clip of him walking around the hospital, as he got ready to exit it. The post was captioned by the following comments: So much to be #thankful for on the #thanksgiving day. Leaving the hospital and home for #thanksgivingdinner.”

This was welcome news in light of what has been a very difficult time for Roker with his health. He had been taken to the hospital with what appeared to be a blood clot in his leg. This was then exacerbated by the fact that the clots ended up near his lungs.

As such, there were question marks over whether or not Roker would be able to get back to his usual self, or if this would be permanent damage. This was answered, as Roker returned home with a massive smile on his face, as he watched the parade. The fans on social media were delighted to see Roker looking a lot better.

A significant proportion of the fan base sent him some very warm words and wished him the best moving forward. Jenna Bush Hager, from the Today show, had this to say: “Yasss!! Now we are especially thankful for you too!!! And all those doctors and nurses who took care of our dear one.”

Thankfully, everything turned out fine in the end as who knows what could have happened on any other given day. And that is the most important thing. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
