Apparently, on social media, there was a post by a user who actually met a former producer from 90 day fiancé, and boy did they have some tea to spill! Specifically the Potthast family, yes, that family, in particular, is its own set of problems, which we all kind of could guess just from the show itself but now we have confirmation.
No surprise that Libby’s brother, Charlie Potthast, according to this producer at least has a major problem with alcohol. It became very apparent at Libby and Andrei‘s wedding that something was the matter and that something was Charlie himself. A lot of people are not really surprised by this revelation considering his declaration in the midst of the wedding, but nice to know the fandom wasn’t just collectively hallucinating.

What is most surprising about the Potthast family is that Chuck Potthast, the family patriarch is apparently the “Kris Jenner” of the family and is actively involved in his family’s social media success. In fact some people in the fandom have begun to speculate that his breakdown at the pool last year could have been actual tears of joy considering the ratings that the whole fight was going to bring in.
Yes, it’s a little disgusting but what else is he going to rely on, the housing market? These days nobody has money to buy houses, in spite of what Andrei Castravet might lead you to believe. (That still doesn’t answer the question about where on earth he made $750K Last year but considering he and Libby do only fans as well… we’ll leave that one up to your imagination.)
As for the other cast members, this producer says that both Kalani Pulaa and her sister Kolini were very chill and very real, which is definitely the vibe that we got off those two. However Asuelu Pulaa is smarter than he claims to be and definitely weaponized his ignorance and incompetence sometimes. Honestly, that is not surprising whatsoever considering the things that we’ve observed.
It would also seem that Angela Deem, at least at first, was very sweet, but quickly started using the producers as her marital counselors/sounding board when it came to her relationship with Michael. The producer in question had to disconnect from her eventually because they were getting calls every day about Angela’s relationship – yike!
