According to reports, Kanye violated Instagram’s guidelines during a heated exchange with P Diddy following their disagreement over Ye’s White Lives Matter t-shirts. During the course of that process, Kanye doubled down on his belief that he would continue with this venture.

That resulted in Kanye sharing the following screenshot which stated the following: “This ain’t a game. Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me.”

This drew a significant amount of backlash for the following reasons. First of all, Kanye’s comments were alleged to have offended the Jewish faith. Therefore, as an artist who has a global fan base, that was seen as a lack of respect.

Secondly, other critics felt that Kanye should be doing more to speak out against the backlash directed at the Jewish community. And this was reflected in the comments that followed. Sarah Silverman wrote: “Kanye threatened the Jews yesterday on twitter and it’s not even trending.

“Why do mostly only Jews speak up against Jewish hate? The silence is so loud,” while Jamie remarked: “The holiest day in Judaism was last week. Words matter. A threat to Jewish people ended once in a genocide. Your words hurt and incite violence. You are a father. Please stop.”

The fans on social media made their stance very clear. A certain subset of people were of the view that Kanye had to stop making inflammatory comments as they were not helping the discourse.

And in the process of doing so, they urged him to keep quiet unless he had something constructive to say. One person wrote: “Appalling. West either needs help or to shut up.”

Kanye has shown time and again that he does not care if he alienates people with his comments. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
