Former Quarterback Terry Bradshaw Recalls His Battle With Cancer
The star first revealed that he had been diagnosed with bladder cancer at the back end of last year in November. And as part of that process, he underwent surgery and subsequent treatment at Yale University Medical Center. Although that may have been the case, he suffered another setback in March.
After undergoing an MRI scan after experiencing something wrong in his neck, Bradshaw discovered that he had a tumour. This turned out to be a Merkel cell tumour. This is something that is very rare indeed, as the skin cancer required him to undertake more surgery. With that being said, Bradshaw has been through a lot.
In his comments, he said: “Last week on this show, I ran out of breath, and Howie [Long] helped me up. And a lot of people are asking what’s wrong with me, what’s happened to me physically. I just want to address it and let you know what has happened in my life.”
Bradshaw’s tendency to overcome adversity is not something that should be underestimated. During his NFL career, he managed to achieve only what few could have dreamt of. During the course of his 14-year spell with the Steelers, Bradshaw won a mammoth four Super Bowls.
Not only that, but he ended up with two Super Bowl MVPs. And after retiring, he made a name for himself on TV as a broadcaster. The fans on social media praised Bradshaw for his determination, and the success that he has managed to achieve throughout his life.
And in the process of doing so, the comments were very warm indeed. One person wrote: “God bless Terry Bradshaw, a national treasure. Appreciate that man while he still here as enthusiastic and joyful as he as. I love his spirit and his energy. Kudos.”
Hopefully, moving forward, Terry is able to remain in good health. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
