Eva Mendes has revealed that she did not quit acting despite a long break away from the movie industry.Â
Eva Mendes ‘Never Quit’ Acting But Left To Stay At Home With The ‘Babies’
The 48-year-old is married to Ryan Gosling, who in contrast has never been away from the movie screens. Her last film ‘Lost River’ was all the way back in 2014. Therefore, there were question marks over whether she had walked away from the film industry.
But rather than this being the case, Eva made it absolutely clear that she wanted to take time out and focus on her children. After all, she does have two children with Ryan: Esmeralda and Amada.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, Eva said: “I never quit acting. I wanted to be home with my babies and fortunately my other business ventures allowed me to do that more than acting would.”
That was not the only reason for the break, though. Eva expanded on how she was not satisfied with the roles that were being offered to her. As such, it did not make sense for her to take up roles that did not resonate with her, especially since she did not need to work out of necessity.Â
In addition, now that she has had some time away from the film industry, there is a possibility that she could make a return in the future. She did make a TV appearance in the ‘Bluey’ last year, even if it was just a voice role. With that being said, Eva has been blessed with the opportunity of picking roles what she wants.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “After working on the film LOST RIVER -that was a dream project. That’s a tough act to follow. What’s the point of this post? To shift that narrative. I never quit.”
As long as Eva is happy in her life, then that is the most important thing to remember going forward. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.Â
