The late rapper Coolio’s lover, Mimi Ivey, has claimed that he was seeing other women prior to his death.
Coolio’s Lover Mimi Ivey Reveals The Rapper Was Seeing Other Women-‘I Knew About It’
The 59-year-old passed away after having gone to his friend’s bathroom only to then not return. He was subsequently announced dead at the scene when the authorities arrived. Naturally, that has left a lot of people in mourning.
And yet, it seems that the rapper will not be having a funeral. Ivy expanded on how she was simply following through on Coolio’s wishes. And this process of trusting each other, as well as knowing what they were doing, is something that their relationship was built upon.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, she said: “He was who he was. If he was seeing other women, I knew about it. There’s nothing that man ever did that he hid from me. We talked about everything. I knew his whole life. We had no secrets.”
With that being said, it seems that the couple had a really frank and open relationship. Despite not being legally married to each other, they would refer to themselves as husband and wife. Not only that, it is alleged that Ivy took Coolio’s last name anyway.
In addition, it appears that there were plans for the pair to get married at some point in the future. But the fact that Coolio is no longer alive has put those plans of getting married to bed once and for all.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “We went to the courthouse, we filled out all of the paperwork and we were planning on it. But we just decided not to turn it in. It’s just a piece of paper that doesn’t change how either one of us felt about each other.”
It is a very difficult time for Ivy, but she has many memories that she can look back on. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
