Brad Pitt Gets Berated On Twitter For Snubbing Martin Brundle On The Track

In spite of the fact that Brad Pitt is starring in a film about Formula 1 racing, the sport’s fanbase on Twitter seems to believe that he has no respect for it. The A-lister was present during the U.S. Grand Prix this past weekend in Austin, but on Sunday he ducked out of an interview with Martin Brundle of Sky Sports, a renowned former race car driver turned pundit and journalist.

In-person, Brad Pitt gave Brundle a little bit of the cold shoulder. Brundle is well-known these days for his grid walks, where he conducts impromptu celebrity interviews (sometimes awkwardly). To be fair to Brad, he didn’t completely ignore Brundle’s questions about the movie (which he claims he can’t respond to because it’s top secret), but it was obvious he didn’t want to talk. It would appear to be a harmless situation, but some online users are offended on MB’s behalf.

They’re known at “pit stops,” he said to the camera, if they don’t want you talking to Brad Pitt. Brundle himself appeared agitated. Most users of the Bird app concur, saying he should respect the culture and speak to Brundle, whose interviews are standard on the grid and who is a fixture of Formula One. To put it another way, Brad, play ball when you’re on our ground!

It’s not the first time a celebrity has dismissed Brundle; Megan Thee Stallion made the mistake famous last year. However, in this instance, some are arguing that since Brad is literally making a film about Formula One, he ought to be cognizant of the key figures, including Brundle, and display respect.

Brad has mostly been treated like a rock star while he has been in Texas, aside from this sour interaction. This will not alter the fact that he is still considered Hollywood’s golden boy.
