Back To The Future Stars Michael J. Fox And Christopher Lloyd Reunite At New York Comic Con
The pair have become synonymous with the franchise having played Marty McFly and Doc Brown respectively. The pair first worked together in 1985, but few could have imagined the impact that this film would leave on the current and future generations that followed.
This is especially true since there was a chance that Michael may not have been in the movie. The director Robert Zemeckis was not convinced with Eric Stoltz, which resulted in Michael being given the part of Marty. And the rest was history as the film became one of the most popular franchises in the world.
And by the looks of it, the pair were destined to work together. In his comments, Lloyd said: “The chemistry was there from the first scene we had, it was alive, and it remained that way for three movies. It hasn’t gone away, by the way.
“All I had to do was just react. Just take it in and let it wash over me. I thought he was brilliant.” Much in the same way, Fox had a similar feeling of the experience. This may explain why they have managed to stay as friends even off screen.
After all, there could have easily been a situation where the personalities clashed on set, given the age difference at the time. But for Michael, he simply bounced off Lloyd. His following comments confirmed as much: “All I had to do was just react.
“Just take it in and let it wash over me. I thought he was brilliant. That was the whole thing: be with Chris and let it be Chris, and enjoy it … It was a thrill.”
The pair may not be in a position for another movie for the franchise, but they have left plenty of memories for the fans. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
