On the new season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, the Potthast family has been rocked with allegations of alcoholism. Charlie Potthast seems to not be able to get along with his sister, Elizabeth Castravet’s husband, Andrei Castravet.
His mother and other family members have blamed this on the fact that he drinks heavily, but Charlie and his wife, Megan Potthast have started to clap back on the haters who think he is an alcoholic.

This all began when Andrei and Libby got married and decided to take the microphone when he was drunk. He made quite a spectacle of himself and this began what we have seen as his downfall. He did tell his fans that he knew he was drunk at the wedding and he felt that things like that happen all the time at weddings.

He knows that Andrei and Libby were mad at him, but he didn’t know that this would start all the rumors of him being a raging alcoholic. He mentioned that everyone in his family drinks and he just isn’t sure why he is the one being singled out. He said, “Literally, every time we get together, everybody drinks. It’s just cause it all comes from the wedding.”
At the family barbeque, more tension came out when Charlie and Andrei got into a huge fight and Andrei told Libby that he was going to distance himself from her family. Megan told fans about her feelings on this family feud, “Stop hating. Life’s too short to hate on your own family. If you wanna talk about boundaries, yeah, we can talk about boundaries. But like cutting us off like we don’t exist?”
Megan went on, “They talk about him like he is some kind of monster, and it really affects me more than him. And you’re just trashing him for what? Just to like, give yourselves something to talk about. What, what is that?”
On this season of the show, the primary focus in the storyline of Libby and Andrei has been all about Charlie and his drinking problem. It really has affected the entire family and we hope that as the season progresses, we will see some changes and some resolutions.
