Why Did Meghan Markle Remain In London As Royal Family Made Their Way To Scotland To See Queen Elizabeth Before Her Passing?

British Royal News says that Meghan Markle did not joined the other senior members of the royal family in Scotland, despite her doctors saying that they are very concerned about her health. Even though it was previously reported that Meghan was joining her husband Prince Harry to Balmoral Castle, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

New reports say that Meghan Markle has been left behind in London. Royal correspondent Omid Scobie tweeted on Thursday afternoon, “A source has shared an update stating that only Prince Harry has made the trip up to Balmoral. Like the Duchess of Cambridge (who is in Windsor with their three children), the Duchess of Sussex is staying back in England (but still not attending tonight’s WellChild Awards).”

He also said, “Prince William, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex have just arrived at Balmoral Castle (5:05pm local time) after landing at Aberdeen Airport approximately an hour ago.”

It’s also being reported that Kate Middleton had stayed behind in Windsor because it was her children’s first day of school.

Buckingham Palace officials had said the move had been to create some ‘certainty’ in her Majesty’s calendar due to on-going mobility issues. New Prime Minister Liz Truss said: “The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime” adding “my thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”

Meanwhile, many onlookers, tourists and well-wishers of Queen Elizabeth II gathered outside Buckingham Palace in London on Thursday following the news that the monarch was under medical supervision. During that same time, Prince William has been photographed driving the Queen’s sons Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, along with Edward’s wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex, into Balmoral Castle. The group of royals entered the estate moments ago after traveling to Scotland to be with the Queen.
