‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers that despite his best efforts, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is unable to defeat Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). He tried following his rules and even breaking them, as he admitted to Imani Benedict (Denise Boutte), but nothing has worked.
Nate became frustrated by this and left the video conference with everyone present, including Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), before making a small scene and telling Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) that he was done and was not going to continue. Imani appears to have persuaded Nate to remain at Chancellor-Winters and perhaps even try a slightly different strategy using her influence for evil. Imani has spent the entire time acting like a snake in the grass, but she might be able to assist Nate and persuade him to do something interesting.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Imani Benedict (Denise Boutte) And Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) To Take Over Chancellor-Winters?
While the arguments between him and Devon have been fairly dull, it might be interesting to watch Nate humiliate his cousin. Additionally, it opens up a lot of potential for further conflict between Imani, Nate, and Elena. Elena might even experience another moment of infidelity at some point, and this time, she will understand how it feels.
Imani’s advice was ambiguous, but she mentioned something about being a little more ruthless, which Nate has never had to be in his life. Imani is going to persuade him to confront his cousin and earn his place among them, even though he would prefer to take the “L” and move on with his life.
Because of the difficulty of the task, I assume that she means by “ruthless” to go behind everyone’s back and do whatever it takes to elevate himself above Devon in the organization. If Nate can pull off this kind of takeover, he will be able to give the go-ahead for all of his own events and convince Devon that he is competent.
What do you think? Will Nate and Imani try to takeover Chancellor-Winters and could they be successful? Let us know in the comments below.
