Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she was punished by CBS on the basis that she bashed Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Sharon Osbourne Claims She Was Treated Badly By CBS After Criticising Harry And Meghan’s Oprah Interview
The interview was held on CBS, something which Sharon felt was used against her on the basis that a CBS executive allegedly may have swayed her former co-hosts on “The Talk” to make her life difficult on the show.
After all, Sharon left the show after backlash that she had defended Piers Morgan’s criticism of Meghan, with some claiming it was racist to do so. With that being said, it is suggested that a CBS employee, Amy Reisenbach, was not happy that Sharon defended Piers, which inadvertently made the interview look bad.
In an interview with Page Six, Sharon said: “When I supported Piers, it was like, ‘Oh god, and then they were trying to make an issue, but by doing it very cleverly by accusing me, because I’d supported Piers, I must be a racist because he was racist because he had attacked Meghan.”
But that was only the start of the criticism from Sharon. She expanded on how her former co-hosts, Kristin Matthews and Heather Gray, informed her that Reisenbach made them behave that way to Sharon.
This is despite the fact that they allegedly did not want to treat her in this manner. Reisenbach has yet to respond which is understandable due to the negative media scrutiny that may emerge.
But that has not stopped the fans on social media from having a say on the matter. A certain subset of people felt it was time for Sharon to let things go. Meanwhile, others were of the view that she had been harshly treated. One person wrote: “Please Sharon go away. Just go away.”
It will be fascinating to see if Reisenbach does hit back. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
