Just a few hours before getting married to wife Audra Mari earlier this month, Josh Duhamel was taken to the hospital. The “Transformers” star, 49, threw his back out after “pulling some wild dance moves” on a party bus the night before the big day, according to the former pageant queen, 28, who told Vogue Australia on Wednesday.
Doctors discovered Duhamel had slipped a disc the morning of the wedding, but the actor and his wife simply said, “Cue the cortisone shot, and let’s get married!” The former soap star had significantly improved by the time Duhamel and Mari were married and was even able to dance with his bride during their first dance to “Buy Dirt” by Jordan Davis.
Josh Duhamel Has An ER Visit Night Before Wedding To Audra Mari
In March 2019 in Los Angeles, a mutual friend introduced Duhamel and Mari. Nearly two years later, at a beachfront proposal, the “Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!” star proposed to the former Miss World America with a message in a bottle.
Mari said of her engagement, “I cried, he cried—I’m not sure I even answered his question, I was in such shock! He stared at me a little bit longer and said, “Well…?” And I looked at him and laughed and said, “Well, duh!”. It was the easiest ‘yes’ there ever was.”
Duhamel was previously married to Fergie from 2017 to 2019, but this is Mari’s first union. Axl, their 9-year-old son, is shared. We’re glad to hear he is doing better since that night and thankfully it was nothing serious but it’s always worrisome when you see someone heading to the ER.
Congratulations to Josh and Audra and we hope the wedding was a thing of dreams!
