Harrison Ford appeared to tear up as he made an emotional presentation for his newest Indiana Jones film, and promised that it would leave an impression. The actor was at the D23 Expo where a ton of new projects were being shown off, and one was the fifth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise.
At the event, they showed the trailer for the upcoming film, and immediately after, Ford walked out on stage. This is where he appeared to get emotional as she spoke about the beloved character and franchise. He said that this last film packs a lot of punch and features a ton of heart.
Harrison Ford Gets Emotional Over New Indiana Jones Film, Says This Will Be His Last Outing As Indy
While he was speaking about it, he got a bit choked up, but the audience responded with cheers and applause. He also gave a shout-out to his co-star Phoebe Waller-Bridge saying she is a big reason why the film was so much fun. As he puts it, ‘Indy 5’ will “kick your ass.”
This will be his final outing as the character, telling that crowd that this is the last time he can fall down. Remember, Ford is 80 years old, so the fact that he is still doing this is pretty incredible. Later on at the convention, Ford reunited with his old friend/costar Ke Huy Quan, from ‘Indiana Jones and the ‘Temple of Doom’. The two actors posed for a photo backstage and it’s a blast from the past. You remember Ke Huy Quan as Short Round in the film, but he is all grown up now.
In addition to starring in ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ this year — to much fanfare — he’s also been announced as being cast in the new season of ‘Loki.’ Totally awesome!
