Bilal and Shaaeda recently took the time to share with fans how they are feeling about the backlash that he has gotten. 90 Day FiancĂ©: Happily Ever After – Bilal Hazziez Addresses Comments about Being a Narcissist
She told him that she was shocked that he lived there and thought that he was lying about his career if this was the home he lived in. Come to find out, he was pranking her. Viewers didn’t see this as funny and made her look like the bad guy when she made comments about how the house needed work.
He said that he has been really trying to work on himself and he knows that when he speaks, it comes off as lecturing. He also mentioned that he is trying to help Shaaeda transition to the United States. Bilal told ET, “I’m trying to also educate her and teach her and trying to get her up to speed and teach her a lot of different things, so it can come off that way. And those are things that I have to just, OK, try not to do.”
Bilal then brought up the fact that Jibri Bell told them that he didn’t think their marriage would last. He said, “There’s some validity to it but also sometimes people they’ll state their own opinion and it’s just that, their opinion. If you let that get the best of you, it could destroy who you are. So, try to be the best that you can be.”
He continued, “And it’s funny, nowadays, if you have confidence in yourself or if you have… Back in my day you just call it swag, but now they say you’re a narcissist. There’s a new word now for anything that somebody doesn’t like about you and it’s funny because I’ve been a type of person who’s, as an example, who has helped more women create businesses and become business owners and entrepreneurs all around the country… and spoke at rallies when it comes to brutality, specifically for African American women and things like that, and financial education… You wouldn’t know those things about me from just looking at that. So, it’s kind of like, you got to look at the whole picture.”
