The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers show Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), convinced Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) to stop interrogating Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and the family. This completely contradicts Chance’s character, and I believe this to be the start of a significant change. This won’t last, and Chance will suddenly erupt with something.
Chance wanted to find out the truth even if it meant putting his family in danger because he was aware that there was more going on in the death of Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). Of course, he was unaware of the family crest for the Newmans, which reads, “Snitches get stitches.”
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Will Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) Marriage To Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) Last?
Chance decided to withdraw from the case, which goes against everything he stands for, and we can tell that it is killing him. Chance has been extremely distant even after Abby thanked him for not looking into the case, and she is aware that something is wrong.
Abby also knows better than to coerce her husband to quit. She would never request that he withdraw from a case just because of the parties involved. Imagine that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was involved in something that Chance was looking into at the time Abby and Phyllis had their hotel fight. Never would Abby advise him not to look into her crime.
The result of all this stress will be a failed marriage. However, were we ever really expecting Chance and Abby to succeed? They always seemed to be on thin ice despite the numerous problems with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James)Â and their pregnancy story.
It will be difficult for Chance to drop the investigation because he married into the wrong family, and this will eventually drive them further apart. The current state of Chance and Abby is probably just one conversation away from ending. It’s a ridiculous plot, and it’s even more absurd how they’re treating Chance like lying and pretending is okay.
