The Flash actor Ezra Miller reportedly spent months driving across the country while armed and wearing a bulletproof vest, convinced that the FBI and the Ku Klux Klan were tailing them.
The Business Insider report is just the most recent in a long line of escalating accounts of the actor’s troubling behavior, which also includes two arrests, claims of threats, allegations of long-term kidnapping and endangering children, and worries that Miller effectively converted an Airbnb in Iceland into a cult-like commune.

Several people, according to Insider, worry that the Fantastic Beasts actor, 29, has become detached from reality. A longtime family friend: said, “I think Ezra has been enabled because of their fame, their wealth, their earning potential, their whiteness, and their beauty.” They continued, “When someone has as many resources as Ezra, it’s really difficult to step in. People are less likely to refuse you when you are well-known. I believe that they can be extremely dangerous.”
Miller reportedly had “frequent meltdowns” while filming The Flash, which were described as episodes of self-critical behavior rather than violent outbursts. However, the actor’s alleged off-set behavior has been threatening, with reports of physical altercations, threats, and grooming.
According to court documents, the actor avoided answering questions about a protective order issued after claims that they spent years grooming a teen. Miller then momentarily published a meme on Instagram making fun of the court’s search for them.
Miller posted a mysterious video in January threatening to kill members of “the Beulaville chapter of the North Carolina Ku Klux Klan” if they don’t commit suicide first. That might be a precursor to the actor’s fixation with the KKK.
