Former star of ‘The Bachelor’ Bekah Martinez has confirmed that she is almost a foster parent.
‘The Bachelor’: Bekah Martinez Applies To Become A Foster Mom
Bekah, for her part, is already a biological mother having had two children with her fiancé, Grayston Leonard: Ruth and Franklin. While that may be the case, it seems that she has plans on extending her family. And by the looks of it, Bekah has already been making moves behind the scenes in order to make this happen.
In her comments, she said: “I’m in the process of getting paired with a foster youth! Waiting on [an] official court appointment order, and in the meantime I have to look over all the child’s documents and history with DCFS [Department of Children and Family Services]. [N]ot a light task.”
This admission is surprising for the following reasons. First of all, Bekah’s two children are still at a very young age. Therefore, the fact that she wants to add someone to her family unit is going to be challenging.
Secondly, there is the question of why did she decide to pursue fostering? After all, she is already a mother to two children and fully aware of what it takes to have children naturally.
Lastly, there is the chance that this could backfire. There is no guarantee that her application will be successful, coupled with the fact that the foster child may not settle. But Bekah is not shy of taking risks. She appeared on Arie Luyendyk Jr’s season of the show in 2018.
This caused major controversy due to the fact that she was only 22 at the time, while Arie was 36. Not only that, but Bekah had been reported missing by her mother, who did not know that she was actually on ‘The Bachelor.’
Time will tell if Bekah does manage to do this, and we wish her the best with that. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
