Julia Fox has urged parents to occupy their kids’ attention with cleaning products as opposed to toys.Â
Julia Fox Urges Parents To Ditch Toys For Cleaning Products-‘Everyone Buy Their Kid A Mini-Mop’
The model is known for making outlandish fashion statements, as shown by her recent decision to go grocery shopping in her panties. But this time around, her advice about parenting was equally bizarre. The star, who is a mother to her 19-year-old son Valentino, admitted that her child has no interest in any toys.
With that being said, she urged parents to focus on teaching their children some very useful skills at a young age. In a post to her fans on TikTok, Julia said: “He is actually more interested in what I’m doing.
“So I suggest that everyone buy their kid a mini-mop and mini-broom and start teaching them those life skills really young, so when they enter the real world they don’t have to outsource for everything.”
And yet, this is not the type of childhood that Julia may have received. She opened up on how parents spending huge amounts of money on kids was only a recent phenomenon. And as part of that process, it would make much more sense to treat them like adults.
Nevertheless, there is no one way of how parenting should be done. But for Julia, things were very clear. Her following comments confirmed as much: “The concept of childhood was only invented in the 18th century. Prior to that, children were just regarded as little adults.”
The fans on social media began to mock Julia for her comments. And in the process of doing so, there were outrageous remarks being made by people over how they brought up their children.
One person wrote: “I bought my son a mop and broom etc and taught him how to cook and clean but only cuz I wanted a live in maid but if it helps him too that’s dope.” It is fair to say that parenting is not an exact science.
