This is certainly a shift in a different direction, now isn’t it? Apparently Britney Spears’ ex Kevin Federline is open to having his former father-in-law Jamie Spears back in his family’s life. This, despite the fact that restraining order was put on him after an altercation that he had with his grandson, Sean Preston. Here’s what you need to know.
In a new interview with ITV, KFed said that he is open to having his children reconcile with their grandfather. He also said that he has no hard feelings against the elder Spears, either.
Kevin Federline Is Open To Having Former Father-in-Law Jamie Spears Back In His Family’s Life
“I would absolutely welcome Jamie Spears back in the boys’ lives. Especially if that’s what the boys wanted,” Federline, 44, said. “People make mistakes,” he said. “I feel bad for him. I feel like he’s been put through the wringer.”
Back in 2019, Los Angeles divorce attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, who represents Federline, said the order restricted access to both Sean Preston and Jayden James and included geographical restrictions including home and school.
The order was obtained after a physical altercation allegedly occurred between Kevin Federline’s son Sean Preston and Jamie Spears in 2019 at Spears’ home in Ventura County, Kaplan said. Federline claims Spears broke down a door to get to his grandson and grabbed him once he was in the room, according to his attorney. There were no visible bruises or injuries to the child.
“There was a disagreement that occurred while Britney and the children were visiting with Jamie at his home that led to a physical altercation that was observed by Jayden,” Kaplan says. “Britney did the right thing and removed the children and took them out of there, but the trauma to the kids is nonetheless.”
