Tyson Fury claims that his cousin died after being stabbed in the neck over the weekend in the UK. In the wake of the tragedy, he is pleading with government authorities to crack down on knife crime.
Authorities claim that Rico Burton, 31, a relative of Fury, was killed on Sunday morning around 3 AM in Manchester after an incident at a well-known bar. Police reported that a 17-year-old was hurt in the fight as well and is still being treated in the hospital.
After hearing of Burton’s passing, Fury posted on his Instagram account to express his condolences and make a call for harsher punishment for knife crimes in an effort to prevent future occurrences of the same type of crime.

Boxer Tyson Fury Calls For An End To Knife Crime After His Cousin Is Murdered
According to the police, they have detained two men they think were responsible for the stabbing. In an effort to stop further crimes, they added that they are increasing police patrols in the neighborhood.
Speaking on behalf of the Greater Manchester Police, Ben Ewart said, “This was a senseless attack and both victims should’ve come home this morning after a fun night out with friends.”
Anyone with information, pictures, or videos of the incident is urged to contact the police as soon as possible.
