Alec Baldwin has admitted that the ‘Rust’ incident has had a catastrophic impact on his life.
Alec Baldwin Admits That The Rust Incident Has Cost Him Dearly-‘I Got Fired From Another Job Yesterday’
Alec’s prop gun incident on the set of ‘Rust’ resulted in the gun being fired which led to the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. While an investigation has been ongoing in order to determine whether or not Baldwin or anyone else for that matter can be held liable, the actor has already begun to suffer some consequences.
He has been subjected to lawsuits, while there has also been serious question marks over his future in the acting industry. With that being said, Alec has felt the heat. In his comments to CNN, he said: “I got fired from another job yesterday.
“There I was all set to go to a movie, jump on a plane … I’ve been talking with these guys for months and they told me yesterday, ‘We don’t want to do the film with you because of this.'”
It is not exactly clear which movie Baldwin was referring to, but this does demonstrate that perhaps he has become a victim of cancel culture. Not only that, but Baldwin’s personal life has also come under scrutiny.
He expanded on how he felt fear over his life after former United States President Donald Trump alleged that Baldwin “had something to do with” the shooting. And given that Trump does have an overzealous fan base, Alec was worried that his life could have been at risk.
His following comments confirmed as much: “The former president of the United States said, ‘He probably shot her on purpose.
“I was worried about what was gonna happen. Because here was Trump, who instructed people to commit acts of violence, and he was pointing the finger at me and saying I was responsible for the death.”
