ABC General Hospital spoilers: The week of August 8 finds Ava confiding in Nina, Dante calling out Brook Lynn, and Carly looking for a comeback

General Hospital spoilers for the week of August 8th reveal Ava Jerome (Maura West) has some venting to do. And Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will be there to listen. Meanwhile, we might see some complications for Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Plus, it looks like Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is in a regrouping phase. Here’s what you need to know.

General Hospital spoilers: Catching up

First, General Hospital spoilers indicate Ava has a lot going on right now. Between what happened with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) at Wyndemere and the affair, Ava is not in the best place these days. This week, she’s going to confide in Nina about at least one of her problems. Based on their clip in the weekly promo, it looks like she’s going to tell Nina about the affair Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) had. We’ll see if Nina ends up trying to get Ava to forgive him or not.

For the record, we’re firmly on #TeamDropNikolas. Ava’s right when she said he was weak for allowing himself to fall into Esme’s trap. Plus, after everything she’s dealt with lately, she probably doesn’t need to complicate her life by returning to someone who clearly isn’t doing his part. After all, he let someone who torched her car move in with them without talking to her first. We get he was in a bad spot with his son, but still. That was not cool, and it shows a lack of consideration and maturity.

General Hospital spoilers: Back off

Elsewhere, it looks like Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is going to get involved in things he maybe shouldn’t. Although, we suppose we can’t blame him. In the promo, Dante will tell Brook Lynn, “The way I see it, Chase deserves better.” It sounds harsh, but we do think Dante has a point. She is putting him in a bad spot by getting him involved in another one of her schemes to get her music back. Which isn’t going to help Chase in his PCPD career. So, it’s good someone is looking out for Chase. We don’t think Brook Lynn’s a bad person or she’s just using him, but we do think this should we/shouldn’t we thing ultimately isn’t helping them.

General Hospital spoilers: Comeback?

Finally, General Hospital spoilers reveal Carly is ready for a comeback. After losing the Metro Court to an ill-advised investment she’d been warned away from, Carly has a meeting this week. Whether this will be a good or a bad thing, we don’t know, as it looks like the same advisor who gave Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) that merger idea that blew up on them. But either way, Carly looks all in. She says her goals are, “To get back what I lost and more.”
