General Hospital spoilers for the week of August 22nd reveal a lot of the action will focus on a new annual event. Given the Quartermaine family is involved, there’s so many possibilities here. However, their usual drama might not be the real problem in town. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital spoilers: New tradition
As we mentioned, General Hospital spoilers reveal there’s a new tradition in town. The Quartermaines are holding a picnic for a good cause, and they intend to make it a yearly thing. We’re loving the idea, as we have enjoyed the Nurses Ball episodes over the past few years. Expect this event to play out over most of the week. And we’re loving one of the teasers out there.
It seems Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) will take it upon himself to help spread a little love. And by that, we mean he’ll make up his own love potion #9. Sorry. The music geek in us couldn’t help it. Although, we’re sure Leo’s concoction will have much better results.
General Hospital spoilers: What kept you?
Elsewhere, it looks like the inevitable is getting closer and closer to reality. By that, we mean a relationship between Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). The pair has been getting closer ever since all the post-Nixon Falls drama, and others have noticed. While Carly acted like there was nothing going on, the weekly preview tells a different story for us. They’re sounding a little too flirty as Carly asks, “Show me what you got.” And, of course, Drew tells her, “Prepare to be amazed.” As other teasers this week hint at more, we think it’s only a matter of time.
The question for us is, will Carly solely be attracted to Drew just for Drew, or will there be a little pining for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) mixed in there? Even before the blow up between her and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), it was clear she was hung up on Jason yet. So, we can see his twin catching her eye in that way.
General Hospital spoilers: Danger!
Finally, General Hospital spoilers reveal there’s danger ahead this week. There’s a shot toward the end of what looks like someone watching as a fire burns on a grill. Later, we see a glove and what reminds of us of the killer’s hook in the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” movies. Our guess… Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) either isn’t as dead as some think she is, or Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) has finally decided to drop the invalid act. We’ll have to wait and see if that’s the case, or if a new threat is in town.
