We had our doubts about this relationship, the weird fights and the strange cult leader vibes that Mohamed Abdelhamad gave off, along with Yve Arellano’s alternative spirituality in comparison with Mohamed’s devout Muslim faith.
We thought that Mohamed might be making his way back to Egypt for a long-term stay with his Mom soon, simply because of how closed off he’s been in regards to really opening up to Yve’s lifestyle and her friends (wow, last week’s episode with Yve’s friends was just… painful in retrospect), but something had to give some time, and Yve said that after he proposed again three weeks ago, things began to change.
’90 Day FiancĂ©’ Spoilers: Mohamed Abdelhamad and Yve Arellano get married
Mohamed said that he realized that if he didn’t start trying to mesh his and Yve’s lifestyles that he was going to lose her forever. Sweet sentiment, but you have to wonder where it suddenly came from and if he got a sudden cash injection from his Snapchat girl that maybe changed his mind?
After all, she can’t send him paypal money if he’s in Egypt and Mohamed really wants that green card, so one has to wonder, with the latest social media developments that have been swirling around, if Mohamed’s being real about suddenly embracing Yve’s lifestyle or if he’s just doing it so she’ll continue to sponsor him.Â
The ceremony itself was beautiful and was reminiscent of a salt-covenant ceremony that actually happens in a lot of Christian Fundamentalist weddings, where the bride and the groom mingle their salt together, and in order to get a divorce one has to pick out each grain of salt by hand. Yve and Mohamed did this with colored sand, which might make things a tiny bit easier if say…
Mohamed decided to suddenly move to Egypt with the Snapchat girl. (Accidents happen and dustbusters exist, Yve!) There was even included in the ceremony, even though he decided right beforehand that he was done with his dapper suit and just wanted to wear jeans and a t-shirt… it’s okay, Theran, casual weddings are a thing too.
They even had a traditional middle eastern dance at the reception, even though it looked pretty modern to us. Oh well, Yve got the wedding she wanted… maybe Mohamed can hang in there long enough for the green card. Stay tuned!!!
