Yikes. It’s a good thing that no one was badly hurt. There are new reports that say Jason Momoa is safe and unharmed after a collision with a motorbike on Sunday. The Aquaman actor was reportedly driving near the Calabasas area in Los Angeles, when a biker traveling in the opposite direction made contact with him coming around a curve. Here’s what you need to know.
According to TMZ, the motorcycle crossed into Momoa’s lane and hit the left front end of the actor’s car. Footage obtained by the publication shows Momoa walking back to his vehicle as paramedics tend to the biker. The biker was then transported to the hospital with minor injuries – including bruising to their leg and an injury to their thumb. Momoa was unharmed.
Jason Momoa Gets Into A Motorbike Crash
Earlier this summer, Jason’s name was in the headlines because of Johnny Depp’s defamation case against Amber Heard. One movie exec says one of the reasons why Amber Heard’s role was significantly reduced in the upcoming Aquaman sequel is because she and her co-star Jason Momaoa lacked on-screen chemistry. The head of DC Films, which produced Aquaman, testified that the creative team had concerns about Amber Heard’s role in the film’s sequel over a lack of chemistry with her co-star.
Walter Hamada, President of DC Films, suggested that the film’s producers decided to reduce Heard’s role simply because things just weren’t working out for her and Momoa in front of the cameras.
“The size of the role of the film that she has was determined in the early development of the script, which would have happened in 2018 I would say. The character’s involvement in the story was sort of what it was from the beginning,” Hamada testified in the deposition. “From the early stages of development of the script, the movie was built around the character of Arthur and the character Orm. Arthur being Jason Momoa and Orm being Patrick Wilson. They were always the co-leads of the movie.”
Hamada testified that “Aquaman” was the highest grossing film ever for the company. He said the studio never planned to portray Heard as a co-lead in “Aquaman 2” and that Heard’s role was not reduced in the forthcoming film, titled “Aquaman the Lost Kingdom.”
