Tom MacDonald has released a new song titled ‘Names’ which criticizes the current political climate as well as the ‘woke’ movement by calling out the way people will simply call names instead of presenting an argument or having a conversation.
The song was released July 15th and is already nearing 400,000 views with thousands of comments congratulating the rapper for a song well done. One of the lyrics plainly describes perfectly how we are forced to ‘join a team’, either left or right, and Tom is in the middle, but society doesn’t know how to deal with someone who thinks there are good and bad on each side.
“Call me conservative or liberal, republican or democrat, I’m somewhere in the middle but y’all don’t know what to do with that. The system got you so obsessed with classifying right or left you never call a person human.”

Listeners reacted to the song saying, “Tom, I love this. In a world where everyone is offended. People need to remember they are just WORDS. Thank you for continuing to make awesome and impactful music. Love you and Nova. She killed it again.”, “Tom is the voice of many people that can’t speak, this is what we need in this world. If they were more people like Tom in this world, the world be a far better place for everyone. This is a masterpiece!!!!”, “”Call me anything society has taught you to say” THIS is huge. This is exactly what’s going on and it’s probably the biggest fuel to the fire of diversity in this country. Amazing song, Tom I always love your message!! ️“, and “We will never be equal in everyway, that ain’t helpful. Our differences is why we’re great together.” I feel that’s the hardest hitting line. We are all different and bring something different to the table. Embrace it and use the differences in strengths to compliment each other’s weaknesses.”
