By running into a burning house to save 5 children while putting his own life in danger and sustaining serious injuries, a 25-year-old pizza delivery man rivals any Marvel superhero.
Last week, shortly after midnight, Nicholas Bostic was driving down a street in Lafayette, Indiana when he noticed a house completely engulfed in flames. Nicholas made the decision to take action because there were no firetrucks or other emergency vehicles in sight. He ran into the burning house and started yelling to see if anyone was still inside.
In the video you can hear Nicholas say, “Is the baby okay? Please tell me the baby’s okay.” As he’s lying on the ground being treated. All he cared about were the children.

He heard nothing, but he still thought there might be people trapped, so he entered the chokingly smoke-filled home and made his way upstairs, where he discovered four children, ranging in age from one to eighteen. They were dozing when Nicholas roused them, and they fled for protection.
When one of the kids informed Nicholas that there was a 6-year-old child still inside the house, they were all outside. Nicholas screamed for the child as he made his way through the burning house, even looking under beds, but he had no idea where the child was.
He went upstairs but stopped when he heard a child crying downstairs. The problem was that there was smoke all around and it felt like an oven. Even though Nicholas couldn’t see, he went downstairs and found the kid after wrapping his shirt around his mouth. In the blinding black smoke, Nicholas picked up the young girl and searched for the door, but he couldn’t find it. In order to protect the child from harm, he ran back upstairs with the child in tow and jumped out of the second-floor window while landing on his side.
The kids are unharmed, however, Nicholas suffered severe smoke inhalation and cut his arm very badly. His cousin has started a GoFundMe account for him and it’s currently over $300,00!
