Jennifer Lopez was reportedly keen on marrying Ben Affleck as soon as possible.
Jennifer Lopez Wanted To Marry Ben Affleck Quickly And ‘Remove Any Chance For Cold Feet ASAP’
This time around, the pair decided to go ahead with a surprise wedding in Vegas, unlike the first time they had gotten engaged as the relationship ended in tears. And in order to avoid second-guessing herself, it seems that Jennifer was keen on pushing through with the ceremony.
A source said: “[Lopez] has been ready to get married since the night that Ben proposed. She wanted to lock this down and remove any chance for cold feet ASAP!” Despite things moving ahead at full speed, the couple did manage to have their loved ones by their side.
Reports indicate that Jennifer’s child (Emme) and Ben’s child (Sera) were present. And given that they wanted it to be as intimate as possible, there was no need to have a grand event that we have become so accustomed to when it comes to major Hollywood stars.
This was also seen as once the event was over, it was alleged that Ben and Jennifer celebrated by having a Diet Coke with some pizza on the private jet as they flew back. With that being said, Jennifer could not hide her delight over how she was feeling.
In her comments following the wedding, she remarked: “Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things — and worth waiting for.” Nevertheless, the fans on social media were not convinced that the pair would last.
This was on the basis that the duo do have a bad track record of holding down stable relationships. Not only that, but they already know what it is like to have parted ways in the first place. One person wrote: “I give this marriage one to two years, tops!”
The only way to silence the doubters is to carry on with their lives, and in the process, ignore the haters. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
