According to DailyMail.com’s exclusive report, Ghislaine Maxwell has been committed to a Florida prison where she will serve a 20-year sentence for aiding billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of minors. The disgraced socialite has been transferred to FCI Tallahassee, a minimum-security facility in Florida close to the scene of her crimes.
Judge Alison Nathan, who presided over Maxwell’s trial for enlisting and trafficking minors for the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, did not support the BOP’s selection of prison. Despite this, Maxwell, 60, will probably be relieved to hear the news because she has bitterly criticized the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where she has been detained since her arrest in July 2020, regarding her treatment.
Ghislaine Maxwell Moved To Low-Security Federal Prison In Florida
On five of the six counts, the most serious of which involved minor sex trafficking, Maxwell was found guilty. The accusations were based on crimes committed primarily at Epstein’s mansion in Palm Beach, which is five hours away from her new prison, against four women between 1994 and 2004.
The prison manual states that Maxwell will receive an inmate identification card, which she must always wear, and that she will be awakened every day at 6 a.m. Exercise sessions and work periods are included in each of the daily periods that are announced over the tannoy.
Each prisoner shares a cell with one other person, and staff members are permitted to search inmates’ cells at any time for contraband or stolen property. According to the prison manual, the only acceptable uniform consists of khaki pants, khaki shirts, underwear, bras, socks, and legal shoes.
It’s pretty unbelievable that with such terrible charges she’ll be allowed to relax in a low-security prison in Florida entering into talent shows and teaching yoga. She should be behind the toughest, maximum security prison out there for what she’s done.
What do you think? Can you believe they’re moving her down to Florida? In a low-security prison of all places! Let us know in the comments below.
