CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For July 28: Victor Manages A Family Crisis; Summer Questions Phyllis’ Motives

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are set to finally turn the page on Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and close out one of the most horribly written storylines in recent memories.

We had so much hope for the character, but he was a whisper of what we expected and he left with a whimper, leaving Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) looking untouchable.

And now we’re onto other storylines we’re sure will prove just as imaginative.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For July 28: Newman family crisis

Our guess is Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will now be a person of interest after they found Ashland dead in his car in a ravine.

The argument will be Nick caused his accident by injuring him, and thus Ashland wasn’t able to judge the dangers of his situation.

Of course, Victor will want to step up and take care of everything and we doubt Nick will be willing to accept Victor’s bribing officials, er, helping officials to see the error of their ways.

He’ll want to face justice for what he did, and since he feels he was justified he’ll be certain he’ll be found innocent.

Another possibility is Victor could be a suspect since he appeared right after Ashland left and he had a team watching the house.

There’s little doubt in our minds that he had something to do with Ashland landing in the ravine, but it’ll most likely be an unanswered question with only Victor’s word to go on.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For July 28: Summer calls Phyllis’ bluff

Now that all eyes can turn to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), we’ll be getting into the thick of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)’s current scheme to get hired at Marchetti.

Of course, nothing will go as planned, and it’s not a surprise since few things involving her schemes go off without a hitch.

In this case, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will see through Phyllis’ attempt to get hired and ask her outright if this has to do with her vendetta against Diane.

Phyllis will do her usual downplaying or denying it before Summer gives her a knowing look and Phyllis will come clean.

She’ll beg Summer to understand that she needs to keep an eye on Diane but we don’t think Summer will buy her spiel.

If she’s thwarted, we’re curious to see what Phyllis does next, and if Summer gives in we expect it to come back to bite her at some point.

Will Phyllis pull this off? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
