Jamie Spears has denied bugging his daughter Britney Spears’ bedroom during the course of the conservatorship.

This accusation had initially arrived from a documentary entitled ‘The New York Times Presents: Controlling Britney Spears,’ in which a former security member (Alex Vlasov) of Britney’s team had allegedly stated that he was asked to put “parental controls” on the musician’s phone.
Not only that, but a former FBI agent reinforced the notion that Jamie had apparently told the security team “to place a secret recording device in Ms. Spears’s bedroom.” Although that may have been the case, Jamie has denied doing anything of the sort.
So much so that Jamie has now responded with an official filing in response. In the filing, he said: “I am informed of the allegation … that a listening device or ‘bug’ was placed [in] her bedroom as surveillance during the conservatorship. This allegation is false.”
Once again, such claims are not going to do Jamie any favours when it comes to winning back his daughter, as well as being accepted back into the public fold. And yet, Jamie continued to double down on his beliefs.
The filing demonstrated that Jamie was willing to come forward and testify to the fact that he was telling the truth. The following comments confirmed as much: “I never conducted or authorised any surveillance of Britney’s bedroom at any time, including during the conservatorship.
“I am not aware of any such surveillance having occurred.” If it does turn out that Jamie has proven to have done such a thing, then the consequences could be very severe. Not only could he face some time behind bars, but there is also the possibility that he will never be able to face public scrutiny ever again.
After all, it would justify everything Britney has claimed that had been happening to her during the course of the conservatorship. And given that Britney has her army of loyal fans, that will only go on to strengthen her popularity amongst them.
