It’s no secret that Bilal Hazziez has been married before, and we’ve met his ex-wife, Shahidah, whom he co-parents with. Their kids often stay at Bilal’s place and Shaeeda has welcomed them with open arms, even telling Shahidah’s daughter that she could call her “Umi” if she wanted (the Islamic term for Mom) but the little girl politely declined, it would seem.
Shaeeda even expressed to his ex-wife that she wanted to build a relationship with Bilal’s kids and that’s a very good thing, some step Mothers won’t even entertain the idea of having a close relationship with their stepchildren. But Shahidah seems a little… too involved. In fact, she expressed in her confessional that she was a little mad at Bilal because he had not set up a meeting between them earlier.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Why is Bilal Hazziez’s ex-wife having a conversation with fiancé, Shaeeda
Why would there need to be a meeting between them? She says it’s because Shaeeda needs to know how she fits into the dynamic with Bilal, but why would that matter if they’re just co-parenting? Then she went as far as to say that she was there to protect the generational wealth of her kids and really got all up in Shaeeda’s face about it.
She made no bones about why she was there, no apologies, and no real niceties, she just wanted to know all of Shaeeda’s business and where she came from and make sure that she wasn’t just there for what Bilal had. Was she relieved over Shaeeda’s answer about having a life back in Trinidad and Tobago and a yoga studio? It didn’t look like it.
But the more we thought about it, the more we kind of wonder, is Bilal’s divorce really real? Or is it just for show so that he can have four wives? Because in Islamic tradition, you can have up to four wives and the former wives are supposed to accept them into the family.
However, Shahidah was not exactly accepting and seemed to be grilling poor Shaeeda alive in order to prevent any gold-digging intentions that the poor girl might have. At this point the only thing that Shaeeda wants is a home and a child… that’s not wrong to want, but, we’re not so sure that Bilal is the right person to give it. Stay tuned!!!
