If this relationship is going to work, then clearly, Kobe and Emily need to have a talk about which friends have what influence over their relationship because Kobe’s fellow African friend, Temperature, came in and started spouting some traditional African wisdom, shall we say, at Kobe, and now Emily is not liking what she’s hearing.
Who is Temperature, you ask? Kobe’s friend from back home who also happens to live in Ohio. What a coincidence. According to Temperature, men in America have “no say” and “live in the house like they’re ladies”, then he started basically telling Kobe that he needed to start putting his foot down with Emily.

Temperature does not know Emily that well, suffice to say it looks like this is probably the first time they have ever met, but he doesn’t seem to be endearing himself to Emily or to the family all that much. It’s not that they don’t get along, it’s more they don’t like the ideas that Temperature is putting into Kobe’s head, and they’re not entirely wrong for that.
It seems that when Kobe tries to assert himself, he goes about it the wrong way, he doesn’t do so in a way that’s constructive, the last time he called himself asserting himself was when he told Emily to “F*** off” in the barn and we all know how well that went over.

So now, Temperature comes in there spouting some traditional African ways in the middle of Ohio and he thinks that’s going to be received well? Hoo boy. Also, can we just talk about how Kobe didn’t disclose the fact that he’s technically a Prince? He’s the son of an African Tribal Chief and he never told Emily at all. Wow, you have two kids by a guy and you wonder how that subject just magically never came up.
Then again, in Kobe’s native country this may not mean much, especially if he isn’t a firstborn son. If he’s kind of low down on the totem pole then we can see where he would say that he left it all behind. We’ll see just how that plays out. Stay tuned!!!
