On the last season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, we saw Ben Rathbun meeting his ex-girlfriend, Mahogany Roca, but things didn’t seem to go as well as he wanted them to. When he got to Peru to meet her, she didn’t show up a few times and he was beginning to think that everyone was right about her being a catfish.
She finally agreed to meet up with him and then she showed him her home. It looked as if she had rented an AirBnB or that she was at her boyfriend’s place because none of the pictures or décor matched her style. Now it turns out that Ben wants to explain why her place looked the way it did.

From what Mahogany told Ben, she was still living in Peru with her parents. When she showed off her place, they were not there and there were no pictures of her or them. This is one of the many reasons that viewers thought that she was just using him. Now it turns out that Ben is ready to explain more about her place and why it looked the way that it did.

When viewers first saw her apartment, they were surprised at what they saw. Ben opened up on a podcast called The Sarah Fraser Show and he admitted some things about Mahogany’s place. This apartment was a rent by the month place and that is why it looked the way that it did.
He went on to say that in the winter in Peru, there aren’t a lot of tourists and there are a lot of apartments that are left empty. The residents end up renting them out to make some money while they go on vacations. Mahogany wanted to rent one of them while Ben was in town.
Ben added, “So she rents out an apartment, you know, seasonally, and it’s hers.” She didn’t do any decorating of her own because she had only planned to stay there for a few months. This would explain exactly why it looked the way that it did when we saw it on the show. He admitted that she does move back in with her parents when the lease is up and then tries to find a new place.
This sounds like a lot of work, but it looks as if Mahogany doesn’t own the apartment and that is why it looked the way that it did.
