‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) may have had her dreams dashed for this weekend. As it was her dream to be nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award and bring her parents to the show. While it was about to become a reality, she ended up testing positive for COVID-19.
She is asymptomatic though, so she is not sick or feeling the effects, though she still has it. She shared the news on her Instagram page and apologized to her parents, and will be cheering on the show from her couch.
“To my amazing parents, I’m so sorry that this weekend has fallen apart. I was so excited to attend the awards with you. This nomination was because you always believed in me. I love you,” Ordway continued, “I love Daytime and I’m honored to be a part of this talented group! Cheering from my couch!”

Ordway was nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category and we will be cheering her on from our homes.
