Deuce Bigalow is speaking out… While Rob Schneider has been pretty open about his personal beliefs on social media, he had a moment to really articulate his opinions on what’s happening in Hollywood and why people are continuing to cancel those who they don’t agree with.
Honestly, Deuce seems pretty well-spoken and says that while it hasn’t changed yet, he believes that film and Hollywood will change to a place where your political or personal beliefs won’t matter and affect your ability to be hired. Acting is a bizarre career, and you’re pretending to be something you’re not, though it seems people have been doing that just to get the job to begin with.
Rob Schneider Stands By His Views While Being Interviewed At Daily Wire’s Premiere Of Gina Carano’s ‘Terror On The Prairie’
Schneider explains that actors are coming from a place of wanting to be hired, and they don’t want to give any excuse not to be hired. He continues to defend Gina Carano and her right to freedom of speech and not lose her career over it, while her co-stars can post politically charged messages and not be affected whatsoever.
He ended the interview by declaring that he would indeed be working with the Daily Wire in some capacity, whether it be a new film or acting as a producer, so there is definitely something coming in the future. It’s interesting hearing him say pretty general statements, and a lot of Americans seem to agree. Say what you want, don’t hurt people, but don’t punish those because they don’t agree with you. If you’re going to go after someone because of what they said politically, it should be all political statements, not just those that differ from you.
