Prince Harry has been told he cannot complain about his treatment from the Royal family amid reports he was unhappy following Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.

That is according to royal editor Russell Myers. Harry, for his part, had hardly endeared himself to the Royal family with his conduct since his exit in 2020. His highly-controversial interview on Oprah Winfrey, included accusations that someone in the Royal family had expressed concerns about his son Archie’s skin colour.
Not only that, but his wife Meghan Markle had openly admitted to being driven to having suicidal thoughts during her time in the Royal family. And as that was broadcast to the whole world without the Royal family having the right to rebut it immediately, Harry cannot complain if there is still some bitterness.
In an interview on Australia’s Today show, Russel said: “You can’t go on, you know, international television interview with Oprah Winfrey, complaining about your treatment with the family and then wanting to sit down with them when you’re still giving interviews.”
In Harry’s defence, he did try to set up an environment where a reconciliation could have occurred. Prior to the visit for the Platinum Jubilee, Harry gave an interview in which he stated that he was looking to ‘protect the Queen.’
The immediate reaction at the time was one of outrage by virtue of the fact that Harry had ultimately played a part in damaging the Royal family with his Oprah interview. In addition, he also missed a series of important functions, including the monarch’s birthday in 2021, as well as Prince Philip’s memorial.
And that is something that is not going to be forgotten anytime soon. Richard added: “The people I speak to, the Palace every day, who [are] obviously very very well connected with the top players, as it were. They are still absolutely furious.”
