Big Boi of Outkast is officially divorced from Sherlita Patton, bringing their marriage to an end after 20 years. Legal documents show that the court entered the final divorce decree last month after Big Boi filed for divorce in April. In his filing he said there was “no reasonable hope of reconciliation” between Sherlita and him, noting they had already been separated.
The two of them agreed to a postnuptial agreement in 2016 where they divided up the assets and debts. The exes also agreed to keep details of their finances private.
They both seem to be avoiding throwing any hate at each other and as part of the divorce they agreed neither would make threats of “injury, maltreating, molesting, harassing, harming, or abusing” in any way shape or form.
Outkast’s Big Boi Divorces From Sherlita Patton After 20 Years Of Marriage
Sherlita filed for divorce originally in 2013, demanding financial support and full custody. Big Boi responded saying she wasn’t going to get anything without a fight, but the couple eventually reconciled.
After the divorce challenges in 2013 and they made up, Big Boi thanked God and even gave advice to couples who may find themselves in troubled water. Unfortunately, he and his wife couldn’t make things work in the end, but it looks like they’ve kept it civil and are trying to do what’s best for each other.
