NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Abigail Deveraux’s (Marci Miller) death is hitting Salem hard. And there’s already a suspect in Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) mind. Let’s take a look at a highlight of the week and how Kate DiMera’s (Lauren Koslow) confidence in her son could be a problem.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Catching up…
First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Chad found Abigail with a stab wound in their bedroom. Despite his and University Hospital’s best efforts, Abigail didn’t make it. The plot seems to be due to neither actress who plays Abigail wanting to be on contract right now. And TPTB didn’t want to recast the character a third time. So, now we have a murder mystery beginning as well as some really impressive work from one actor in particular.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Losing it
Obviously, Chad was a wreck after finding Abigail like that, plus her not making it. So, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal it wasn’t a surprise that Chad wasn’t in the best place when Kate came calling. The scene was almost chilling.
Chad came across as on the verge of a mental break and he was merciless with Kate when he accused her of silencing Abigail to protect Lucas Horton (Brian Dattilo). His performance in that scene was not only creepy, but it was heartbreaking as well. If this actor doesn’t win all the awards for this one, there’s no point to having them. Seriously.
We loved, though, how Kate was able to ultimately talk Chad down for his accusations. In the end, Chad apologized and they showed that awesome bond they have that we enjoy. However, we don’t think that’ll last.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Too far
We know that Kate cares about her sons, and we’ve also seen recently how far she’s willing to go to protect them. Like keeping Phillip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) fake death a secret and sending him into treatment. Or keeping quiet about Lucas kidnapping Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney).
She went out on a limb for Lucas again, when she lied about him knowing Abigail was wise to what he did. She thought there was no way he could’ve harmed Abigail and thought it better Chad didn’t know she told him.
That could be her biggest mistake ever. She had no idea at the time that Lucas had relapsed and had no clue of what he did the night before. Well, not until she met up with him later and he admitted as much. Between that and the wound on his hand, both think it’s possible he did actually kill Abigail.
And when Chad finds out, God help them. It’s seriously only a matter of time before Lucas is a suspect and that will really hurt Kate in a lot of ways. Between this and her secret about Sami, we think she’s going to be on the outs with most of the town soon.
