The news does come as a shock given that the pair had been dating for around 2 years. During the course of that process, their relationship appeared to be going very well. And yet, it seems that after having some heart-to-heart talks, the pair were not seeing their future in the same way as each other.
And this was something that could not be resolved. A source said the following: “[They] have had discussions about their future but they are not on the same page.”
This begs the question: when did the doubts first start to emerge? Well, it is alleged that they started to have some reservations in the aftermath of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s wedding.
And given that the pair had seen Kourtney and Travis commit themselves to each other, it is understandable if they were going through similar discussions. After all, after two years of dating, there is bound to have been talk of an engagement or a wedding.
With that being said, things did not materialise in that regard. Another source stated: “Once they got back, they started to feel like they weren’t aligned and realized they have very different lifestyles.”
Despite that being the case, the pair have been talking since the break up. It is claimed that the break up occurred approximately over a week ago, which suggests that a reconciliation cannot be ruled out.
But until that actually happens, the fans on social media have had a lot to say already. A certain subset of people were of the view that Devin was better off without her. One person wrote: “Book’s career is NOW safe,” while another person stated: “Yep. He’s gotten rid of that Kardashian/Jenner curse.”
