Juul e-cigarettes are soon to be removed from the shelves of stores according to a report that states the FDA is planning to BAN the product in the United States. The Wall Street Journal reports that the FDA is gearing up to order Juul to remove its products from the market after a two-year investigation.
Juul has been under fire for nearly 4 years for marketing to young users that have ultimately led to a spike in vaping for underage folks.
Juul E-Cigarettes Are Being Banned In The United States After 2-Year Review
The company has been hit with thousands of lawsuits over the years and tried to turn things around by banning popular fruit-flavored products. Clearly, that wasn’t enough for the FDA though and they’re ready to ban the entire product.
Aside from the underage aspect, there have been a ton of people hospitalized and killed around the country from different lung-related medical issues while using vaping products. Officials believe that the companies are to blame.
The report from The Wall Street Journal says the announcement to ban Juul could come as early as Wednesday.
While the devices have been insanely popular, it appears that they are actually not a ‘healthier’ or ‘better’ alternative to smoking and are in fact just as toxic and bad for you as the chemicals you are vaping are very dangerous. While people believed the vapor to not be as harmful as smoke, it appears this has not been the case at all.
It is interesting that it took nearly 4 years of lawsuits for the FDA to realize that there was something wrong with the devices. However, it is hypocritical that they would take these away, but leave regular tobacco cigarettes alone. They are both harmful, toxic and extremely deadly.
