The Hollywood star is hardly short of money, which is why he decided to give back to the woman who had been there for him throughout his life. And by buying her the dream home, he managed to achieve just that.
In the video clip, we can see Ata walking through the front door. And as she enters, she sees a series of pictures on the wall of her son ‘The Rock’s’ wrestling career. She is taken aback by the whole house, as the expression of shock is visible on her face.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “[I have been] lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she’s told me over and over these past few years, ‘After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. That’s my dream.”
But the road to giving back to his mom has not been easy. Dwayne has spoken previously about the hardship he had to undergo before he made it successful in the entertainment industry. This included situations where he suffered evictions due to the fact that he was not able to pay the rent.
And after having been through that hardship, it ultimately gave him the determination to become successful in whatever path he pursued in life. And now that he has done so, his mother has been able to benefit from it too.
He stated: “When I was a little boy, I hated when my mom would cry ~ these days, I’ll happily take her tears of joy.” The fans on social media were delighted by the touching gesture. And they praised Dwayne for remaining humble and looking out for his mother.
