Sometimes, karma serves up its revenge in an extra delicious package, and most recently it served it up as Amber Heard being spotted in TJ Maxx with her sister, Whitney Henriquez, no she wasn’t there for a meet n’ greet or to do a book signing or even in a weird movie promotion type thing, nope, she was actually shopping, for clothes. Yes, that’s right, $500 a bottle Amber Heard has had to start saving her money and shopping at TJ Maxx.

Or maybe she was simply window shopping because it’s really unclear what she was buying, she was just spotted at a TJ Maxx in the Hamptons. Now granted, as far as discount stores go, TJ Maxx is on the bougie end of things, and it was in the Hamptons but that’s still not like the designer boutiques she was used to shopping at, obviously.
How the mighty have fallen
Since her court case ended and she was forced to pay $8M in damages to ex, Johnny Depp, her finances have been headed for trouble. When Amber’s lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, was asked if her client had the means to pay for the judgments against her, her answer was, “Oh no, absolutely not.” ouch.
If you’ll remember, Amber Heard had “pledged” her entire $7M divorce settlement to charity but so far no charity has seen her money and at this point we kind of doubt that it ever will. Although, one wonders just what on earth one could possibly spend all $7M on, since it would last most of us for a lifetime.
When again, houses in the Hamptons aren’t cheap, they average around $3M. It seems that Amber was counting on a homeowner’s policy to pay for her legal fees, no word on that yet. Let’s hope for her lawyer’s sake, unlike the charities she dipped out on, that she does eventually decide to pay them. It isn’t a good track record for her, and regular people can’t seem to get away with not paying their lawyers – just former presidents. Last time we checked, Amber doesn’t fall under that category.
