’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Is it really fair of Mohamed Abdelhamed to want Yvette Arellano to convert to Islam?

’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers tells that, when Yve Arellano started her relationship with fiancé Mohamed Abdelhamed, it didn’t seem like religion was that big of an issue. In fact, the biggest issue seemed to be that she had a special needs child that she still cared for and she was worried about that being an issue.

However, it doesn’t seem that Yve’s child is actually the issue at all, but rather it’s a much more fundamental difference between the two that’s causing a rift, and that is Mohamed’s restrictive Muslim religion. When they were long-distance it didn’t seem to be that big of a deal and when we first learned about Yve and Mohamed’s relationship it just seemed like the two were like any other inter-faith couple.

’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Is it really fair of Mohamed to want Yve to convert to Islam?

But the longer Mohamed sticks around, the more we’re seeing that he’s not okay with Yve simply going through the motions for him. He really, really wants her to convert to being a Muslim. Yve doesn’t feel comfortable, she’s never been religious at all, so to be forced to attend a service in a culture she knows nothing about is feels a bit… well, wrong.

Mohamed finds comfort in his religion because his Father was a devoutly Muslim man and he used to take Mohamed to Mosque when he was a kid, however, Mohamed says that he got very sick when he was 14 and died within the week, so his death was very sudden. Perhaps going to the Mosque helps him feel closer to his Dad.

That’s the way it is with a lot of people who are devoutly religious, they may not have normally been that way on their own, but due to the teachings that they received as children and how their family upbringing was, they continue the practice, Mohamed seems to be in that camp.

It’s not wrong for him to be in that camp or want to practice his religion, but he seems to forget sometimes that Yve didn’t automatically mold her way of thinking to his just because he moved to the US, so assuming that she even wants to partake in any kind of religion is a bit of a stretch. Will these two make it? Well, honestly… we don’t know. Stay tuned!!!
